About Daxi Study AI

Hey, I'm Ryan.

I got tired of watching my classmates (and myself) get burned by ChatGPT the night before an exam. You'd ask it a question, get a confident-sounding answer, study it, and then realize during the test that the AI had just made something up. It's a terrible feeling — and it happens way too often.

That's why I built Daxi differently. When you ask Daxi a question, it only answers from your actual course materials — your lectures, textbooks, slides, and notes. Every response includes exact citations so you can verify it yourself. And if something isn't in your materials, Daxi tells you honestly instead of making something up.

My vision is to build the study tool I wish I had — one that makes learning faster and more effective without sacrificing accuracy. I want Daxi to be the AI assistant that students can genuinely rely on, not just another chatbot that sounds smart but gets things wrong.

I'm a student at Cal Poly SLO studying Construction Management and building AI tools on the side. Daxi started as a way to solve my own study problems.
